About Stage 3

Once educators decide to create an instructive Canvas course, then educators can thread it into a HyFlex structure. HyFlex is characterized by courses being accessed online or in-person, during or after class sessions. With HyFlex, all students, regardless of the path taken, will achieve the same learning outcomes. An instructive Canvas course can be accessed by students offline or at home online when convenient to their schedules.

Considering Use of the Hybrid Flexible Model in Adult Education

Learner Outcomes:

Before leveling up to Stage 4, instructors should be able to:

explain their faculty's agreement about curricula & integration expectations.
organize modules and use the Rich Content Editor (RCE).
show examples of a variety of student assignments and grading.
incorporate a variety of New Quizzes into their course (e.g. Categorization, Multiple Choice, Ordering, & Stimulus).
email students and keep their calendars updated for their course to-do lists.

Pre-requisites

For learner variability, it's crucial for an agency's team to incorporate curricula with the same intention.

Without a heavy burden placed on students to navigate each teacher's expectation, decide in this stage how and/or if curriculum will be integrated into Canvas.

In-person
